Heather, 31 was a loving mother to Adaline, 9 and Evelyn, 6 and wonderful wife to Travis. Heather was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2016 and finished her treatment in May of 2017 and was cancer free!  She endured chemotherapy, radiation a double mastectomy and reconstruction that followed in September.  In October she was starting to feel unlike herself so she went to the Dr. where they sent her to Wausau, WI for immediate care. While there she was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension and the right side of her heart was failing. She was transported to UW Madison where they determined her cancer had returned and had infiltrated her lungs. Her heart was weak, her platelets were dangerously low and the cancer had spread too far. She was given a few days, but pushed for 3 weeks. In that time she was able to see and talk to her family to say their goodbyes. Most importantly to spend as much time as possible with Travis and their two daughters. She passed away November 6, 2017.

Travis, 37 was an avid member of the pigeon community. A sport that he enjoyed being a part of and he really relished in the friendships he had gained. He enjoyed spending time outside fishing, hunting, and caring for his lofts.  He was a goofy guy that made people laugh and had the biggest heart. He was new widow and a Dad trying to get his feet back under himself after losing the love of his life. He worked hard to find balance for not only himself but his daughters. On Monday December 4th, Travis put the girls to bed. And headed off to bed himself. Unfortunately he did not wake in the morning. Travis suffered a massive heart attack that night and was found by his daughters in the morning.

Not only have their families and friends lives been turned upside down these last few weeks, but their young daughters have lost both of their parents in a month’s time. We would like to express our gratitude to the pigeon community who have stepped in to offer so much in their time of need. We can see why you all were so important to him!

This story just couldn’t be worse as I read the first part with Heather and then with Travis just made be choke with emotions and I couldn’t read this to my wife, who recently went thru the same cancer issue. Our Lord has something special planned for these young girls. May Heather & Travis RIP.
Please all that read this say a prayer tonight for the girls.

“This is the time of giving”

    God Bless you all.
